Getting around Bangkok, dubbed as the City of Angels,is very convenient as there are air-conditioned limousines,taxix,three-wheeled "samlors"(Compmonly called "Tuk Tuk"),air-conditioned and non-air conditioned public buses at your disposal at almost every point throughout the city.

Auto Rental: Several car rental agencies in town maintain fleets of air-conditioned limousines,up-to-date model cars and van, with experienced and English-speaking chauffeurs at your service. The service is dependable, convenient and, above all, safe.Rates vary, depending on the type of vehicle you need and length of rental.

Hotel air-conditioned limousine.Another con-venient way to travel about town as non-hotel guest also can use the service. Most limousines are parked within the hotels'convenient and, above all, safe.Rates vary, depending on the type of vehicle you need and length of rental.

Hotel air-conditioned limousine.Another con-venient way to travel about town as non-hotel guest also can use the service. Most limousines are parked within the hotels'compounds. The average fare is about ฿50 for a short distance ride, and up to ฿ 250 to Don Muang airport from downtown proper.

Taxis (most air-conditioned) are abound in the city. Most taxis are metered taxis. However there are a few without meters,so you must bargain before boarding them. Many speak English, especially those who hang around major hotels. The fare again is varied, depending on the destination. But the minimum rate is ฿35 for a short ride. It'll cost you ฿ 200 from downtown area to Don Muang airport.Taxi can also be hired on a daily basis.Negotiate in advance.

Samlor or "Tuk Tuk"are he three-wheeled tricycles you see all over town.Ride is rather bumpy, but the fare is cheaper than taxi.Again, negotiated in advance for destination. Most Tuk Tuk drivers don't English, but are friendly and eager to serve. A unique experience.

Mini Bus or "Jeepney," similar to those in the Philippines, are also available.Cheap (about ฿ 2 for a ride about town) but very crowded. If you are not on a shoe-string budget, avoid them.

Public Buses are you best bet to go around town.Air-conditioned buses go all over town and are highly popular with the tourists.Upon boarding you must indicate your destination.Minimum fare is ฿ 6 and it will cost ฿16 from downtown area to Don Muang airport.Non-airconditioned buses charge anywhere from ฿2.50 to ฿ 3.50 depending on the destination. We recommend air-conditioned buses.

Boat Services are available along the Chao Phraya River.Great fun to observe Thai life as waterways used to be the main communications and means of travelling.Try Express Boat, leaving ferry landing from Yannawa, near the famed Oriental Hotel to Nonthaburi province which takes about an hour and costs ฿ 16.From Oriental Hotel you cruise by the magnificent Wat Arun or Temple of Dawn all the way to Tha Pran Nok for a mere ฿6.And pay only ฿ 1 to cross the Chao Phraya River from Bangkok side.
